It's been a long time coming, but here we go! Bennett Tech Law is the relaunching of my practice from a part time side gig to a full time Let's Do This. It's a leap of faith that the work I've done and expertise I've built will translate into a self-supporting business model.
But it's also a leap of faith that there's a need out there for pragmatic and experienced legal counsel that combines deep in house knowledge and international experience without charging big law rates. I know not everyone can afford $1500 or more an hour. There's so many clients being priced out of the legal market in the Privacy, Security, and AI space. So that's where Bennett Tech Law comes in.
Bennett Tech Law is founded on the idea that there are plenty of small and growth companies, startups and midsized companies looking for strategic legal counsel that knows not just how to tell you what the law says on paper, but how to actually operationalize that for your technology, your tools, your business environment. Whether you're a couple of software engineers with a dream trying to start up a new project and don't yet need full time counsel or a lean in house legal team looking for more support to scale your business before you're ready to hire, I'm here to help you build your business.
For the overworked busy privacy professionals, I'll also be exploring putting my experience into words and publishing content regularly. I haven't quite worked out what the publishing schedule will look like, but I know the struggle of staying up to date with an area of law I describe as "standing on quicksand."
